If you’re like me, you know the easiest thing to do this season is to throw on a simple summer dress. And who says you have to give up your edgy style just because the weather is thirty degrees out? I bought this t-shirt dress from M Boutique a couple years ago and it’s perfect for those less humid summer days. I love the feminine detailing of this wrap dress but always hated how plain it looks by itself. It’s a cross between conservative and flirty, which is perfect if you’re looking for something to wear from day to night. The high crew neckline also makes it a nice daytime summer dress that you can easily dress up for drinks in the evening.
If you know me, you know I’m a lover of all things leather. Of course, it’s easy to dress up this long-sleeved dress with a statement necklace. However, because I always love turning my outfit into an edgy one, I decided to wear leather accents to add some style to an otherwise plain outfit. I definitely wouldn’t be wearing this on those smouldering summer days but when the weather’s a bit more bearable, expect to see those booties out. I paired this midi grey dress with my leather jacket and black lace-up boots. There’s something very complementing about heather grey and black leather that makes them stand out against each other. Together, they’re the perfect contrasting shades to transform a casual look into an edgy one.
The leather jacket with my leather booties definitely complete this edgy summer’s day look. They’re two simple items that you can find in every closet, which can elevate your look easily. If you don’t have a leather jacket, try switching it out with a blazer instead. Personally, I like sticking to darker shades but of course, everyone has their own personal style. The black leather is just the easiest way to transform your summer’s outfit with the least fuss. Some people can’t even imagine wearing leather in the summer months but as long as you’re not completely covered up, you can balance out the look with a bit of skin. If it gets too hot, though, your shoes and shades should do the trick in playing up that edgy side of you.

Wow!! When I first saw you in the grey dress, I thought to myself, your style must be evolving. This is probably the first time that I’ve 1) seen you in GREY and 2) seen you without black…but then the leather jacket came in and I thought to myself, haha that’s definitely the michelle signature look.
Haha, I’ve worn plenty of grey before! Don’t forget about my grey overcoat and spring jacket 😝 Yes, I’m ditching the black more this summer because it’s been SO incredibly hot! But I still try to wear leather whenever I can of course 😊
