You’ve probably figured out by now that I am completely obsessed with off the shoulder tops. I wear them throughout the year because well – I love showing off my shoulders, which also happen to be one of my favourite body parts. I recently snagged this amazing shoulderless sweater that looks casual enough for a coffee date but yet, sophisticated enough to wear at night. Well, having so many shoulderless looks already, I decided to try accessorizing with big statement earrings (instead of my usual silver choker). As much as I love my chokers, they usually overpower the look of a shoulderless top.
I recently wore this outfit to my birthday dinner and it was perfect. I’ll admit I haven’t worn big statement earrings in years – I traded them in for delicate studs mostly. However, I’ve been getting tired of always accessorizing with the same necklace for my off-shoulder tops. That’s when I decided to switch it up a bit; a great pair of earrings can really add some personality to a simple look. And by not wearing a necklace, it really helps in emphasizing my collarbone for an even sexier day to night look.
Spring has finally sprung. With it, I find myself gravitating towards a softer colour palette. I’m loving the ashy colour on this lightweight batwing sweater. It adds a softness and femininity that’s perfect for Spring. To add a bold edge to this look, I styled it with my leather pants (of course) and my go-to Rebecca Minkoff crossbody. With the statement earrings, it completed my minimalistic outfit with a personal edge – adding some fun to the overall look. These earrings definitely did the job in adding some class and some sass to my Saturday coffee outing.
